PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA WINS THE AFRICAN PRESIDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

On 14 November President Jacob Zuma had the prestigious 'African President of the Year' award bestowed on him. The award, founded by the African Counsciousness Media and the Kenneth Kaunda Foundation, recognises achievement and honours African leaders .

Accepting the award, President Zuma said that these occasions help remind African leaders of their responsibilities to the people and he paid tribute to "our African elders who fought for freedom and independence".
