SA TO HOST WORLD SUMMIT ON ARTS AND CULTURE
South Africa will host the 4th World Summit on Arts and Culture at Museum Africa in Johannesburg. As many as 400 delegates from over 70 countries are expected to attend.

BRAZIL CROWNED CONFEDERATIONS CUP CHAMPIONS
Brazil are the champions of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and have now returned to the top of the FIFA world rankings. In the third place play off, South Africa lost to Spain.

SASOL OPENS R70 MILLION FUEL TESTING FACILITY
A R70 million fuel testing facility was opened by Sasol in Cape Town on 26 June. The facility, which would facilitate state-of-the-art fuels research and development, was the company's biggest intervention to test the impact of its range of synthetic and crude oil derived fuels on vehicle emission and performance.
