NEW PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA
The new President of South Africa, Mr Jacob G Zuma, was inaugurated on 9 May 2009. Mr Zuma joined the African National Congress (ANC), South Africa's ruling party, in 1958. Mr Zuma was elected President of the ANC in 2007 and became the party's Presidential candidate in the 2009 national elections.

NEW MINISTER OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION
A new Minister of International Relations and Cooperation (formerly Foreign Affairs) was appointed by South African President, Mr Jacob Zuma. Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane is a member of the African National Congress since 1994 and has served as High Commissioner to Malaysia and High Commissioner to India.

NEW SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT
The New President of South Africa, Mr Jacob Zuma, announced the new South African Cabinet on 10 May 2009. The government consists of 34 Ministers and 28 Deputy Ministers.
