PRESENT JACOB ZUMA TO ATTEND 40TH WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM AT DAVOS

President Jacob Zuma is expected to attend the 40th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland scheduled to be held from 27-31 January.
While the WEF meeting will focus on the strengthening of economics, the mitigation of global risks, the ensuring of sustainability and the enhancement of security, President Zuma will use the opportunity to promote the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
The Presidency said that while the overall theme driving South Africa's participation at WEF, Davos, 2010, is 'Experience South Africa', the President will promote South Africa as a destination, and will assure international audiences that the country is ready to host the FIFA World Cup in all respects.
President Zuma will be accompanied by National Planning Commission Minister Trevor Manuel, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, Economic Development Minister Ebrahim Patel, Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies and Water and environmental Affairs Minister Buyelwa Sonjica.
