SA CITRUS GROWERS ASSOCIATION DONATES A TONNE OF ORANGES TO WORLD’S 7 BILLIONTH PERSON
The Russian representative of South Africa’s Citrus Growers Association, Mr Mikhail Fateev, facilitated the donation of one tonne of oranges to baby Petya Nikolaev, who was born in Kaliningrad on 31 October and selected by Russia as its choice as the world’s seven billionth person. The Ombudsman for Child’s Rights of Kaliningrad, Ms Angelika Meister, delivered the donation (a fruit basket and voucher) to the Nikolaev family on behalf of the South African Citrus Growers Association.
